As much as I like fall, it is hard to say goodbye to the warm weather. Before packing away my summer clothes, I like to get a few more wears out of them by mixing them with fall pieces to help ease the transition. I love the look of a lightweight summer dress with tights, a cardigan, and warm-toned accessories. What are some of your favorite ways to transition your summer wardrobe to fall?
To celebrate my mom's birthday, my sister and I are planning a party for her next week. She loves traveling to India and has 'adopted' family there that she visits as often as she can. So, we're putting together an Indian-themed lunch for her and her closest friends. I can't wait to dig into some Butter Chicken and Naan...
Last night I watched "Bringing Up Baby" with Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn, and I couldn't help but be inspired by the fashion. "Effortlessly glamorous" seems like an oxymoron, but Katharine somehow manages to pull it off.
First dates can be nerve-wracking enough, but then you have to figure out what to wear! I say just stick with what you know. For me, that is jeans. I know I'm always comfortable in jeans. They're easy to dress up with a cute top and heels, then just throw on some accessories and you're good to go!
Today's outfit is in honor of the upcoming celebration of our freedom. I'm going to be hanging out with the family for summer party fun. What are your plans?
Is there really anything much better than going out for a big stack of pancakes? I think not. And to all the restaurants that are kind enough to serve breakfast all day - Thank You!
Two of my friends are celebrating birthdays this month, one of which will be the big 3-0, so I think that calls for something festive, like this bright, colorful skirt. Our birthday gatherings are pretty low key - out to dinner to the restaurant of the birthday girl's choice and one of us makes her favorite dessert. Although, for my 30th we ended up on a 3 week road trip out west, so who knows what will happen!
