This is pretty much my favorite look for summer. A skirt, tank top, flat sandals, and lots of jewelry to give it some style. It doesn't get much easier than that.
What's your favorite summertime style?
Spring is here, which means it's time for farmer's markets, brighter colors, and fun dresses. This outfit is inspired by the warmer days ahead!
3 pieces to fit your life...
Yes, this outfit is a sea of neutrals, but, hey, the holidays are over so no need to get all crazy! Plus, I may have mentioned before that grey is one of my favorite colors, and I love it here mixed with tans and browns. The unique elements in these pieces make up for any lack of color, such as the cut-a-way in the shirt, the buckle on the coat, the 2-tone of the shoes, and, of course, the organic textures in the jewelry. Neutral doesn't have to mean boring!

Since I pretty much live in sweaters from fall to spring, I also like my dresses to be in sweater form. I keep it comfortable with leggings and flat boots and add some character with layered necklaces, a bold cuff, and large earrings. A lace-edged slip peeking out adds a bit of femininity and, as a bonus, keeps the dress from sticking to the leggings. Perfect solution to looking put together without sacrificing comfort!
While my felt & copper bracelets will most definitely go with jeans, I decided to incorporate this lemon & heather one into a casual work look. I like the classic look of herringbone, so I was happy to find it updated into this comfy sweater. The burgundy pants keep with the classic look, and adding funky accessories keep it from being boring.
What's your favorite way to give an updated look to classics?
This weekend I'm heading over to my friend's farm for a good old-fashioned harvest party. Time to pull out a cozy sweater and scarf and boots I can stomp around in... perfect for sipping on mulled cider around a bonfire.
One of my favorite places to hunt for hidden treasures is the army surplus store. The military look is classic, and what better place to add to your collection than directly from the source? It's especially cool when you can find used pieces that are perfectly worn in.

As much as I like fall, it is hard to say goodbye to the warm weather. Before packing away my summer clothes, I like to get a few more wears out of them by mixing them with fall pieces to help ease the transition. I love the look of a lightweight summer dress with tights, a cardigan, and warm-toned accessories. What are some of your favorite ways to transition your summer wardrobe to fall?
One of the things I love most about fall is that pumpkin is back! I love all things pumpkin, including the color, so naturally I had to put together a pumpkin-inspired outfit...
