Today I took a little walk to enjoy the warm weather and get some inspiration from nature. Things are still a bit brown, but there were a few colors starting to pop out. I snapped some pictures of interesting things I found and hope you will be inspired, too!

I spent last week at the Outer Banks with my family. My favorite time to go out to the beach is early in the morning, because it's not too hot and there are not many people. Here are some photos from one of my peaceful early morning strolls:

My favorite things about the weekend:
    Celebrating a friend's birthday
✧Jerk Chicken at the farmer's market
    ✧Petting a cute little donkey
    ✧Eating lavender cookies
✧Lunch with friends at Tito's Tacos
✧A stroll through a part of town I hadn't been to before

Here is the donkey... what a cutie!

My friends and I were surprised we hadn't noticed this part of town before. It's amazing what you find when you just take time to pay attention...

Today I began writing the rough draft of my plan. So far so good. One of my goals for the future is to have a working artist studio/boutique. Part of the fun of selling my own work is connecting with my customers. The internet is great because I can connect with people all over the world, but I also love to meet you all in person! The place that I'm currently interested in having the boutique will be sort of a downtown shopping center that will house various businesses. The building that will house the shopping center is still in development/renovation, so I'm just seeing how things play out from here. Even if things don't work out with this specific project, I'll have the plan in place to work toward a different location. I just want to know that I'm ready when the right opportunity arises!

It was a beautiful day today, so my sister and I held our weekly B&B meeting outside... could we ask for a better setting?

We somehow managed to get through the meeting pretty quickly, even with the kids out of school for Spring Break. Good thing we had the creek there to entertain them :)

Sunday was such a nice, almost warm, day. My boyfriend and I decided that we needed to get out and take a walk. Our walk ended up being a search for a rock cliff, which ended up taking us to the top of a mountain. We realized that we weren't quite close enough to the rock cliff to walk to it easily, so we decided to just enjoy the spot where we were.

I was excited to find some ancient ruins in the middle of the woods. Okay, maybe not "ancient", but inexplicable scrap metal and an old fuse box is still pretty interesting... and a touch creepy. I really like the color combo of blues, reds, and oranges (including the rust!) I wonder how much thought was put into the color when it was made. *ponders*

Just when I thought I couldn't take anymore cold weather, mother nature decided to dump 397 feet of snow on us. I thought I may as well take some picture while it's here...

It was hard to get a picture of myself, but it was up to my knees!

I actually shoveled the front walkway, just to be sure that any packages I'm expecting will get delivered :-)
