Since I pretty much live in sweaters from fall to spring, I also like my dresses to be in sweater form. I keep it comfortable with leggings and flat boots and add some character with layered necklaces, a bold cuff, and large earrings. A lace-edged slip peeking out adds a bit of femininity and, as a bonus, keeps the dress from sticking to the leggings. Perfect solution to looking put together without sacrificing comfort!

Brand new for fall - cuff bracelets made from my own handcrafted wool felt and etched copper!
To make the wool felt, I lay out loose wool roving (the fibers that are typically spun into yarn) into a pattern. I then add water and olive oil soap and manipulate the fibers by working the soapy water into it and rolling into bubble wrap.
I keep working the fibers until it becomes a sheet of felt.
For the bracelets, I cut the finished felt into strips.
I then rivet on a piece of my etched copper and add a snap.
Worn alone or stacked with other bracelets, these add the perfect bit of texture now that the weather is turning cooler. Each one is unique and one of a kind, so find your favorite! Shop felted bracelets

This weekend I'm heading over to my friend's farm for a good old-fashioned harvest party. Time to pull out a cozy sweater and scarf and boots I can stomp around in... perfect for sipping on mulled cider around a bonfire.

In honor of my birthday tomorrow :) I decided to go a little over the top with this week's outfit. Bring on the cake!

Snake print, black boots, and lots of cool silver jewelry... perfect for a rockstar. Or a rockstar wannabe :)

To celebrate my mom's birthday, my sister and I are planning a party for her next week. She loves traveling to India and has 'adopted' family there that she visits as often as she can. So, we're putting together an Indian-themed lunch for her and her closest friends. I can't wait to dig into some Butter Chicken and Naan...

It's June and wedding season has begun. We're hosting one this weekend at the B&B. It's always fun to see everyone dressed up and having a great time celebrating. I have to say, though, that my favorite part is the cake!

I am so excited to find out that I won tickets to see "Hank Williams: Lost Highway" at the Totem Pole Playhouse! It will be my first time there, but I hear the attire is generally pretty casual since it's an outdoor theatre. I think something like this would be perfect, because it's casual and comfortable yet still looks put-together. What do you think?

This week's What To Wear Wednesday is in honor of National Bike Month. Ideally, I'd be celebrating by taking a leisurely ride at the beach, but, alas, I don't think I'll be making it to the beach this month. Are you biking more this month? I'd love to hear about your favorite place to ride...

Well, the weather is oh-so-slowly starting to warm up, which means the ability to wear pretty floral dresses is right around the corner. I'm not one for really structured dresses, though, so the relaxed shape of this one is perfect. It goes great with the easy feel of a boho look, which is topped off nicely with the tribal design on the Cora Necklace and the rustic stripes on the Leah Earrings
